on the drive with kenny jones – we got on the topic of eating again.  somehow, some way, the topic always seems to gravitate to food.  however, this time i was not to blame.

that’s right – the fault lies with one of the drive faithful.  we opened up the ask kenny email bag for a healthy dose of buffoonery and this is what we got:

dear kenny,

the other nite i was out to eat with a rather large group of friends.  we ordered pizza.  the entire group ate with knives and forks.  i chose to eat with my hands.  is that wrong?

what is the proper way to eat pizza?

here is the answer from good housekeeping’s “etiquette guru” – peggy post:

“It’s all right to pick up a slice because pizza is an informal food. The best way to eat it is to loosely fold a slice in half to keep the edges from dripping. That’s not to say silverware is forbidden. Use utensils if you prefer; they come in handy when you’re eating a gooey deep-dish pie.”

get off the fence lady!  lose the fork and knife – za is finger food.  it’s even built to be eaten with your hands – regardless of situation, surrounds or the company you’re with.

do you see any of those people reahing in their to get theirs with utensils?  hell no!  and they’re girls.  that gal in the middle won’t even put her beer down to use a plate.  i may be in love!
