one million giraffes
on the drive with kenny jones – we got on the topic of collecting things. it started with a story about a man from norway that is trying to collect one million handcrafted giraffes before the year 2011.
and why is he doing this? because his friend jorgen didn’t believe he could do it.
he’s up to 160 034 giraffes – only 839 966 more to go! let’s show jorgen just how powerful the internet is! to submit a giraffe, log on to:
we also learned of a woman from Birmingham, uk, has collected more than 5,000 bars of soap from all over the world.
carol vaughn has been collecting the impressive horde since 1991 and has no plans of throwing in the towel. her collecting started as a way to pass the time while she was caring for her mother.
but since then she hasn’t stopped and can’t help looking out for a new bar for her collection whenever she can.
we’ve even got a few pack rats in the drive contingent. have a listen as they share some of the things they collect…
