on the drive with kenny jones – we discussed the “new 7 wonders of nature“.  apparently the nomination was enough for tourism officials for niagra falls.  actually perhaps that was even a bit too much.

tourism officials for the falls said they passed on the opportunity because of worries their cash-strapped community might be on the hook for costly promotional activities.

yes – wouldn’t that be terrible – all those pesky tourist flocking to see the falls, taking photos and spending stacks of cash on hotels, food and souveniers?  nice one  tourism officials.

also on the list of 28 “new 7 wonders” was the dead sea.  when asked if the lowest point on earth was worthy of being one of the 7 elite – here’s what the drive contingent had to say…
