on the drive with kenny jones – just when we thought there may be a chance of fox & paula abdul coming to an agreement to get the bubbly, adorable and most the time, tipsy recording artist back on the panel of a.i. judges…enter ellen degeneres.
in case you haven’t heard by now – ellen degeneres will fill the vacant judges chair on american idol on a permenant basis. she join the likes of simon cowell, randy jackson, ryan seacrest and karla….uh….whatever her last name is. fox reps commented on the latest addition to the judges panel for season nine saying…
“beyond her incredible sense of humor and love of music, she brings with her an immense warmth and compassion that is almost palpable,”
warmth? compassion? a chill just ran down simon’s spine.
this got us talkin’. is ellen really the best choice to be a judge on american idol? have a listen to what he kenny jones disciples had to say on the matter…

ellen is one of the funniest women in show biz and knows entertainment – perhaps that is what was running thru the minds of a.i. producers. or maybe it’s to bring a bit of the funny to american idol – cuz seacrest – you ain’t got it.
whatever the reason for filling that vacant seat with ellen is…i miss paula already. and now we’ll never find out just what the hell was in that coca cola cup???
with all the hoopla surrounding this lil’ reality tv show called american idol, i may just have to watch an episode or two this season. (yawn)
