drive rewinds, the drive

brawl in the family

on the drive with kenny jones - we discussed a survey of 3,000 families by the family database Univue.  the research showed that the average family fights for 4 days a year.the griswolds kenny jones radio

on average families have at least three arguments a day. each one usually lasting about five minutes, which means that the average family spends 91 hours a year, or just under four straight days, arguing.

the researchers said arguments actually play a positive role by acting as a release valve and strengthening family bonds…sounds a bit too “cosby show” to me.

here’s what the drive contingent had to say about arguments among their family units…

i haven’t had an argument with my fam for close to 3 years now…but then again, they live on the other side of the globe.

more findings from the univue research

  • major source of arguments was what to watch on tv.
  • Daughters are most likely to slam doors during an argument.
  • fathers prefer to go for a long drive to cool off.
  • mothers usually start most arguments.

actually i think my mother and i have been engaged in an arguing that’s been parceled out in 5 minute increments for the better part of my life.

and don’t get me started on my sisters!

how about you?  do you argue with the parental units?  your siblings?  cousins?  aunties or uncles?  and if so, what do you argue about?

inquiring minds wanna know – please post.

catch the drive with kenny jones – weekdays from 4-7pm exclusively on beat-fm 102.5 and online at mybeat.fm.
