today on air with kenny jones – the gang came across a story about a man from carlisle, england that wasn’t happy with his name. 
richard smith had a dream some 18 months back about which he says:
“it came to me in this bizarre, twisted dream and i just thought how cool it would be. i like the possibility of having that on a gravestone, and being called ‘mr firebrand.’”
now, mr smith wants change his name officially by deed-poll well in time for his 41st birthday. the name, stormhammer deathclaw firebrand will then start appearing on his legal documents; bank account, passport and everything else including his cable bill.
stormhammer himself feels:
“i’ve never been known by my real name – the only person who ever called me Richard was my mother. i’ve got no living family so it’s not going to offend anybody.”
but it begs the question, will his name flag him on terror alerts when visa, passport or airport authorities take a look at it on his official papers? hmmmmmm.
this story got the phones going crazy – the on air contingent was quick to ring with what they’d like to change their names to..

probably could have saved himself alot of time and ink by just changing his name to “douche bag”…but to each his own. i’m sure he’ll get the tar beat out of him later in life.
