The song, from Britney’s seventh studio album set for release in March, was announcing impishly when britney tweeted:

“don’t #HoldItAgainstMe for coming out early.  I couldnt’ wait any longer.  Hope you don’t mind… – Britney.

an early demo of the track leaked to the internet on january 5.  later that day, britney released the artwork for the single and promised her fans that the final track would be a lot more mind blowing than the demo.  here’s the artwork…

‘Hold It Against Me‘ has been produced by max martin and dr. luke.  these swedes worked on britney’s first three studio albums and her hit “...baby one more time” for her album of the same name.  more recently “circus” and “if u seek amy.”

britney has been rehearsing choreography for the video of ‘Hold It Against Me‘ for over a month now and will record it shortly.  and if that ain’t enough brit for ya – a second single titled ‘I I I Wanna Go‘ is also ready for release.
