as i was about to walk over, she looked away and acted like she didn’t see me.  totally ignoring me.  i think that is soooooo RUDE!

why would she do that?  what should i have done?

there is nothing so hurtful as being blanked at a party, club, mall or any other public place.  there are scores of reasons this could have happened – and countless ways to handle it as well.

it’s hard to say exactly why someone would give you the cold shoulder – perhaps they think you’re annoying or who knows, maybe they just didn’t recognize you.  to start with, give them the benefit of the doubt – and walk over and say, “hi.”

if they turn their back on you at that point – you know they’re a jack ass!

whatever reason you have for blanking someone that you know (whether they’re a friend, an aquaintance or a friend of your second counsin’s, best friend’s sister, twice removed – the least you can do is give them a friendly nod, a wave or smile.

you don’t have to have a long conversation – at least acknowledge their presence so at that point – they know you’re not a jack ass!

in a perfect world you could just turn invisible – but until that sort of technology is created, you’ll have to go on ducking behind clothes racks or grocery displays.

Here are some helpful how to’s when it comes to ignoring someone:

• use technology – put those headphones on and turn ‘em up
• look down – this assures you’ll never make eye contact
• turn your head – act like your enthralled with something else
• body language – crossed arms and a scowl are dead giveaways
• be a snob – turn a blind eye to all tha’s going on around you.  keep your nose so high in the air that it snows on your brain.

these techniques will keep those you don’t wish to talk to at bay…and eventually, probably everybody else.  in the end – it’d be a nicer place…

smoking everywhere explains that the e-cigarette contains no fire, tobacco or smoke, but does release a jolt of nicotine with every drag to help those who are addicted “get what they crave.”

they phoney cigs have no tar, tobacco or nasty chemicals – plus they come in fantastic flavors like cherry, mint and chocolate!  if they add strawberry banana to their menu…

i just may start smokin’!

smoking without actually smoking may take some time to catch on – if the drive faithful’s reaction is anything to go by.  here’s another product you smokers may wanna give a try

but if we can’t get you to switch to a less harmful alternative – perhaps this will change you mind.

the university of maryland studied four popular cigarette brands from camel, kool, lucky strike and marlboro and found they were crawling with germs.

they found hundreds of types of bacteria, including some that cause foodborne illnesses and lung and blood infections.

the research was inconclusive as to whether the germs survive the heat and make it into the lungs when you light up and smoke the cigarette.  but they now have proof that there are more germs on a camel cigarette than an actual camel!

on the drive with kenny jones – we discussed some thing that happened to me at the grocery store the other day.

i was at safeway purchasing a case of bounty bars and a liter or coca cola for dinner…hey, don’t judge!

anyway, there was a guy in the cue in front of me yammering away on his cell phone – LOUDLY. but that’s not the most disturbing part of this tale – he had one phone to his ear – in the other hand he was sending a text message on a second phone! who knows how many other phones he had in his pocket?

why do you need 2 mobile phones?

i can only imagine the reasons. now check out this gal.

she’s talking on one phone, while sending a text message on another and probably cruising the chat rooms on her laptop and checking her email at the same time.

i can’t figure out if she a loser or is an amazing multi-tasker?

but it’s more common than you might think. the latest simons new media study finds some 13% of cell phone users now have two cell phones. and 89% of them say one is exclusively for personal use.

the only way to actually reach someone was to wait until they returned home to find that annoying little message light flashing on your answering machine.

hell, i’ll do you one better – rotary phones. if you wanted to call a person they had to be home to actually pick up the call.

it seems the kebab stand attendent used the sauce during a fight over – wait for it – wait for it…a napkin. he refused to give a gentleman more napkins to wipe his hands.

the customer then wiped his hands on the gentleman’s kebab stand.  kebab dude then proceeded to throw chili sauce into the customer’s eyes.

now the forensics team in germany is hard at work in the lab trying to determine – said chili sauce could cause…

grievous bodily harm!

if chili sauce can be considered a lethal weapon – kebab dude’s in big trouble.

this wacky altercation got the phones ringin’.  here’s what the drive contingent had to say about assault with chili sauce…

why can’t we all just get along?  however, they did come up with some other just as lethal food options.

one of the drive faithful was in dire need of  some advise.  she wanted suggestions on getting a curfew extension.

so she turned to the kenny jones disciples for help.

it didn’t take long for the phones lines to light up with loads of suggestions on how to add precious seconds, minutes and even hours to ones curfew. because let’s face it…

curfews BLOW!

on average families have at least three arguments a day. each one usually lasting about five minutes, which means that the average family spends 91 hours a year, or just under four straight days, arguing.

the researchers said arguments actually play a positive role by acting as a release valve and strengthening family bonds…sounds a bit too “cosby show” to me.

i’m of the opinion that you gotta look smart going into an interview.  so doll yourself up and leave the jeans at home.  you have to remember – you never get a second chance…

it had the rest of us that hadn’t seen it chomping at the bit to get to the cinema.  i had the opportunity to see the flick and i sprung my review on the kenny jones disciples.  here’s what ensued…

yes, i was just as floored as you to find that members of the drive faithful thought that this really happened.  they were under the impression that this was actual footage – that the people in this film were not actors

…actually, i do agree with that last one.

they sucked!

last weekend, oz’s daily telegraph published a story about the pop tart’s recent concerts, accusing her of lip-syncing and claiming fans were unhappy and called her boring.

The show’s promoter said the star was aware of the reviews and…

“extremely upset by it.”

now, all these days later, she’s “upset” enough to release an official comment.

she said this in a statement to the agence fance presse:

“i hear there is a lot of controversy in the media about my show.  some reporters have said they love it and some don’t.  i came to australia for my fans!”

those priorities sound right on point, except for the fact that her lip service neglects to address the actual issue at hand:

the lip-syncing!
