If I asked you to name the highest-grossing actor of all time, who would you pick?  JOHNNY DEPP maybe?  LEONARDO DICAPRIO?  Perhaps TOM CRUISE?  WILL FERRELL, even?

Well, you’d be wrong, wrong and WRONG.  Because the highest-grossing actor of all time is…wait for it, wait for it:

SAMUEL L. JACKSON!

Jackson’s work over the course of his career has earned $7.42 BILLION, earning him a place in the “Guinness Book of World Records“.

Of course, Jackson isn’t always the STAR of his movies, but that doesn’t matter.  As long as he’s in them, it counts.

So I guess that means that even small, early career appearances in movies like “Coming to America” and “Goodfellas”.

Then of course there’s the higher-profile stuff like “Pulp Fiction“, the “Star Wars” prequels, the original “Jurassic Park“, “The Incredibles” and now, all those Marvel superhero movies like “Iron Man“, “Thor” and “Captain America“.

Jackson averages three to four movies a year, which he attributes to his family’s  work ethic.  He says, quote, “I grew up in a working class family.

“When I was a kid, all the adults in my house got up and went to work every day.  I assumed that’s what grown people do.  That’s what I do.  I just happen to have a very interesting job that’s kind of cool!”

Sam Jackson is too cool for school – which is what makes us look past things like “Snakes on a Plane”.  We forgive you Sam…but we’ll never forget.

It’s very “glamorous” and it sort of keeps the theme of her past two albums artwork. But I haven’t been able to look at her the same since here role in the flop – Valentine’s Day. Like, ya know?

It is most likely gonna be a chart topper during it’s debuting week, so Taylor and her label outta be happy about that.

I know that many T-Swift fans are getting excited for the album and she will likely have a handful of hits from it like she did with her last album. S’pose any of these songs on the new album will be about ex-boyfriends?

Last week On Air with Kenny Jones we covered where Paris Hilton was arrested after Las Vegas police found a bag of cocaine in her purse. Though Hilton claimed ownership of the rolling papers, $1,300 in cash and several credit cards that were also in the bag, she told the police that neither the bag nor the cocaine were hers. But Hilton’s Twitter account tells a slightly different story.

Earlier this summer, Hilton tweeted a photo of a purse with the caption, “Love My New Chanel Purse I got Today.”

Normally, this wouldn’t be a big deal. Paris Hilton tweeting a photo of something expensive? Not exactly breaking news. But the eagle eyes over at People noticed that the purse in Paris’ tweet bears a striking resemblance to the purse seen in the photos TMZ has of her arrest.?

Now I’m no detective, but I’m pretty sure that’s some damning evidence.

Let this be a lesson: Think before you tweet photos of things that you will later deny belong to you, for reasons legal, illegal, or otherwise.

It might be best if her PR people cut her off from tweeting – at least until all this business blows over. But I will say one thing – after all this the hotel heiress’s street cred is through the roof!

On Air with Kenny Jones – we learned of another instance where the 60 year old frontman for Aerosmith, Steven Tyler, took another tumble off a stage. This time it was in front of thousands of screaming fans in Toronto. In case you live under a rock and have no clue what we’re talking about – perhaps you should see for yourself…

this was at an event in South Dakota last year. The spill ended up in a broken collar bone for Steven and forced the band to cancel the majority of their tour dates.

Now that you’ve seen the first round – take a look at Steven’s head into the crowd during a concert in Toronto…

Apparently Lead Guitarist, Joe Perry has release a statement claiming he didn’t push Steven off the stage. I know, I know, you’re probably thinking the same thing I am…WHAT? The band may be in a little turmoil as of late – canceled concert dates, broken bones, tweeting you’re quitting, pursuing a gig as ajudge on american idol…and all of it surrounding Steven Tyler.

Perhaps Joe did help his band mate off stage? Maybe it was a harmless accident? Or is this just a strategic publicity stunt by some crafty pr people? What do you think? Please post.

we can’t seem to figure out why we have not been deemed worthy enough to see this vid.

but have no fear our crack staff (or staff on crack) has been able to track it down for your viewing pleasure…and viewing pleasure is an understatement.

on the drive with kenny jones – we, like everyone else around the globe has been tracking the h1n1 virus (aka the dreaded swine flu).  odds are it’s coming soon to school, playground or library near you.

and the latest victims of the “sometimes deadly” virus…

hand puppets

hennepin county libraries in minnesota say that lovable, cuddly plush toys and fuzzy hand puppets will no longer be available for checkout or play, partly because of swine flu concerns.

ali turner, the library system’s senior youth services librarian, says,

“the public has been asking about the plush toys, so the library is respecting those concerns.”

the fear is that children’s hands are in direct contact with areas that other children’s hands have been.  and puppets & stuffed toys are not the easiest things to disinfect.  hand puppets don’t exactly promote…

puppets have been available at less than half of the 41 libraries in the suburbs and in minneapolis….but those days are gone.

however, there are some groups that are working to save the fuzzy creatures from extinction.  have a listen to this public service announcement…

i’m not certain this campaign is actually going to work…actually, i know it doesn’t have a prayer.

if you think about the reason for removing the stuffed toys from the libraries – it makes one wonder what’s next?  perhaps removing the books from library shelves.  after all, children hands come in direct contact with areas other children’s hands have been, right?

on the drive with kenny jones – we discussed how i was witness to one of the most amazing displays of will and strength ever seen.  and it all started with the purchase of a brand new lg refrigerator.

the fridge is quite the piece of machinery but the delivery guy was an incredible individual.  although the story doesn’t do it justice…you’ve simply got to listen to it…

i’m thinking of buying an oven just to see him do it again!  i’m still in awe!  that guy was not just a delivery driver – he was a super delivery guy.

still not completely sure why ya have to wait 8 hours to plug the thing in.  it’s like having to stare at wrapped gifts under the tree weeks before christmas – cruel and unusal punishment i say.  for the record – the fridge is up and running perfectly.
